1. Preparation

Turn off the power to the equipment and ensure safe operation.

Prepare tools: Lint-free cloth, anhydrous alcohol, compressed air gun (pressure <= 0.5MPa), special guide rail lubricant or rust-preventive oil.

2. Remove Surface Contaminants

Wipe the guide rail surface with a lint-free cloth to remove loose dust and metal dust.

For stubborn oil stains or welding slag, gently wipe with a cloth dampened with anhydrous alcohol. Avoid using corrosive solvents.

Use compressed air to blow away any residual particles in the guide rail gaps to prevent scratching the slider raceway.

3. Thorough Drying

After wiping, use a dry lint-free cloth or compressed air to completely dry the guide rail surface to prevent moisture residue from causing corrosion.

Do not proceed to the next step after cleaning with a damp cloth without drying it completely.

4. Lubrication and Rust Prevention

After cleaning and drying, immediately apply a dedicated guide rail lubricant (such as lithium-based grease), ensuring an even oil film coverage.

If the equipment will be out of service for an extended period, it is recommended to use rust-preventive oil instead of lubricant, completely covering the guide rail surface to prevent oxidation.

After applying the oil, manually push the slider 2-3 times to distribute the lubricant evenly.

5. Precautions

Avoid using ordinary machine oil or mixing different types of grease to prevent oil reaction and failure.

In high-dust environments (such as welding workshops), it is recommended to clean weekly; in regular environments, check and clean every two weeks.

Wear clean gloves during operation to prevent sweat from corroding metal surfaces.
